About Us
Forestside are joinery contractors operating from premises in the heart of the Midlands undertaking joinery works throughout the East and West Midlands.
Our directors have gained experience working for and with a wide range companies including smaller family run businesses, large private businesses operating across multiple regions to some of the largest PLC construction companies.
Services
As a joinery services provider in the midlands, we are able to provide a broad range of services covering virtually all aspects of joinery from major contract work to planned refurbishment and improvement programmes.
We have experience working on frameworks and have successfully completed and are working on numerous packages on the EMPA and Construction West Midlands framework for major construction companies such as Morgan Sindall. We are very aware of the importance of achieving the KPI’s for delivering the project especially with regards to delivery on time and to budget.
We understand the need for continuous training particularly with regard to Health and Safety. The company is CHAS certified and all our operatives and subcontractors hold CSCS cards with many of them also having various other qualifications such as PASMA, First Aid, Paslode etc.
Case Study
A fit for a King
Working to refurbish existing, and form new buildings, to create a visually impressive visitor centre at the location of the unearthing of Richard III remains. Supply and install bespoke oak staircase and handrails. Supply and install oak floating floor to entire first floor exhibition spaces. Decoration throughout. Supply and fit specialist suspended ceilings. Various bespoke joinery works such as oak window reveals.
Key Issues and Considerations:
- Working to an incredibly tight programme. Including night working maintaining a 24hour presence on site.
- High public interest in the project including frequent visits from a documentary team and local news crew.
- Coordination and cooperation with other trades
- Health and Safety
- Very limited storage and room on site
- Working in very close proximity to live council offices and public roads
